Trip to Florida

Maya and I flew to Florida last weekend (my first solo flight with her since August - it is a lot different traveling with a 19 month old as compared to a 15 month old, especially since my lap has gotten significantly smaller!) The flights there and back went very smoothly, and we had a great trip.

Grandma found a new audience for the Dora sleeping bag she wisely purchased years ago for her granddaughters!
Although Maya didn't sleep in the sleeping bag (maybe next trip!), she enjoyed putting baby "night-night" in the bag.As befits a trip to the grandparents, Maya got spoiled and was able to watch multiple episodes of Dora up close and personal.
Her favorite place to watch TV was sitting next to Papa.
We made it to three different parks during our 3 days there. We loved being able to be outside in 70+ degree weather (as opposed to here where it snowed 4-6 inches yesterday!)
Maya was initially scared of this slide, but she loved climbing all the steps to get to it. She finally got up the nerves to go down it twice!

All in all, it was a great trip. We got to go to JB Coates' 1st birthday party (my dear friend Elizabeth's son); visit Kristen in the hospital and meet her newborn twins, Aubrey and Jonathon; and eat dinner with Sarah, Scott, and Jacob Cohen. Best of all was having Mom and Dad watch Maya so I could get some much needed rest. I'm 24 weeks along, finally over the morning sickness and really starting to feel this one move around. We talk to Maya constantly about becoming a big sister; we think she will make a wonderful one (except for the fact that she is prone to dropping her dolls on their heads!)
