Cousin Mimi also cracked her up.
Even though Katie's family spent Thanksgiving in Dallas, Maya said "ahhhAH" to all of them on Skype.
It was the first time that all the second cousins (and soon-to-be cousin) got together--Justus, Sarah, Maya, Samuel, and Pookey.

Even the dogs took a family portrait: Holly Chernow, Rootbeer Chernow, and Peanut Tackett.
Maya missed the turkey and trimmings, but Shushu made sure she had her new, daily fix of rice cereal.
This year, we ALL have LOTS to be thankful for.

It was a memorable Thanksgiving. So much to be grateful for; both Katie and shushu in remission from cancer, new jobs, Ann here from Australia and with us for the first time in many years; Obama, a new President who we all wholeheartedly support and the first time that the Waynes have all been together in almost 40 years. And of course, Maya, to light up our lives and the news that Benji and Amy are expecting May 18th - we can't wait to meet Pookie Tackett.
